GCSurplus Sales Centres are staging areas for surplus and forfeited goods waiting to be sold to Canadians via its website. This is a unique and rewarding job within the federal government; every day will bring new adventures as GCSurplus sells over 40 types of asset commodities such as trucks, furniture, and jewelry across Canada.
Come join a small team of individuals that work alongside each other in any weather doing something different every day! This is definitely not a job for someone who loves to be tied to their desks – you’ll be tasked with juggling your own workload as you constantly transition from the office to the warehouse.
This process will be used to staff 1 Storeperson position on an indeterminate (permanent) or determinate (temporary) basis.
A pool of qualified candidates will also be established and may be used for similar permanent and temporary employment with English Essential language requirements in Toronto (ON) within Public Services and Procurement Canada and other federal departments.

✔ Experience in shipping, receiving and storing assets in a warehouse environment.
✔ Experience in packaging and shipping various size materiel or equipment such as palletizing and shrink wrapping in a warehouse environment.
✔ Experience in operating a computer to perform basic business tasks using Microsoft Office suite ie. Outlook, Excel, Word.
✔ Experience providing service to the public.
