Duties

What would your role be?

To support the organization's strategic decision-making by:

• Conducting socio-economic analyses related to the labour market and on targeted audiences in order to contribute to the department's programs.

• Guiding the development of different methods of analysis and evaluation.

• Evaluating programs or projects, as well as reviewing and monitoring activities conducted by the Quebec region.

• Contributing to the annual strategic planning cycle.

• Developing relationships with partners and stakeholders to support collaborative external relationships.

EXPERIENCE

A cover letter of maximum 1000 words must be provided to demonstrate that the candidate has acquired the depth and breadth of the various experiences and that the minimum required is met for the application to be pre-selected. This cover letter will also be used to assess the competency of effective written communication.

It is the candidate's responsibility to clearly demonstrate through specific dates that the required duration of the experiences is met.

The resume will be used ONLY as a secondary source to validate the experience.

EXP1: Recent and important* experience in contributing to or carrying out one or more of the following activities: research, studies, economic analysis, business intelligence analysis, evaluation.

EXP2: Recent and important* experience in writing various documents with the aim of presenting results, options or generating reflections from carried out research, studies or analyses.

EXP3: Recent and important* experience working with internal or external partners or clients.

EXP4: Recent and important* experience sharing opinions, advice and recommendations to immediate and/or senior management.

*Recent and important experience refers to an experience whose breadth and scope is usually equivalent to carrying out a variety of activities related to the position, which is acquired over a defined period of time consecutively or cumulatively over the past 5 years.

*Period of time:
EC-03: 2 years of experience
EC-04: 3 years of experience
EC-05: 4 years of experience

ASSET - EXPERIENCE

AEXP1: Experience in using data analytics software (e.g. SAS, Excel, Stata, PowerBI and others) and/or econometrics.

AEXP2: Experience in providing advice on the impact of economic, social and labour market trends for program/service planning or delivery.

AEXP3: Experience of at least one year in the evaluation of programs and/or projects.

AEXP4: Experience of at least one year in business intelligence.

EDUCATION

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution* with an acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics.

The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution*, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
