LOCATION
This position is located in Toronto. As a result of the global pandemic, OSFI employees are currently working from home. Should the current telework environment no longer apply, the successful candidate will be required to report to and work onsite from the Toronto office.

Duties

The mandate of Common Supervisory Services (CSS) Training is to implement an overall plan for learning programs to address OSFI’s Supervision training needs. The CSS Junior Instructional Designer is an instructional design professional who develops and maintains learning models of varied format, to support the delivery of training to supervisors across OSFI on a diverse range of topics related to the financial services industry.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
• A degree from a post-secondary institution with specialization in instructional design, visual media production, brand development, e-learning services, strategic marketing, organizational development, education sciences, social sciences, sociology or other relevant field OR an acceptable combination of relevant professional industry experience and education.

Degree equivalency

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
• Significant experience in designing, developing and implementing a variety of digital training solutions (e.g. scenarios, branching, storytelling, gaming, virtual infographics, etc.) with clear learning objectives.
• Experience in project management in order to manage multiple ongoing projects.
• Experience in innovative web/social development tools and applications, such as Captivate, Articulate, etc.
• Experience in converting classroom to digital and virtual delivery.

You may be required to meet a combination of any of these asset experience criteria:
• Experience in developing and assessing participant evaluation forms for digital learning, including but not limited to eLearning modules, virtual and classroom delivery of curriculum, etc. against the respective critical success factors and apply lessons learned.
• Experience in creating new or updating existing courses and integrating them to existing client sites or LMS/LXP.
• Experience with preparing documents for outsourcing of training through a Government contracting process.
• Experience in evaluating learning programs and aligning them with organizational priorities.
• Recent and/or significant experience developing training content in the financial services industry*.

*Financial services industry includes experience working in a financial institution, including banks, insurance companies, pension funds, wealth management firms, and accounting firms (dealing with audits), as well as government departments that directly deal with the supervision and regulation of these institutions, or other relevant areas.
