The intent is to staff one (1) permanent position in Ottawa, ON. A pool of partially qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff similar positions within the Department of Public Services and Procurement Canada across Canada with various tenures such as temporary or permanent.

EDUCATION
- Successful completion of an acceptable post-secondary educational program of at least 3 years in the field of interior design or architectural technology.
EXPERIENCES
- Experience in managing, supervising or team-leading a team of resources in the delivery of furniture procurement projects.
- *Significant and recent experience in working with a multidisciplinary team in the delivery of office accommodation projects.
- *Significant and recent experience in providing professional furniture procurement services for office fit up and/or accommodation projects
- *Significant and recent experience in providing strategic advice and project delivery recommendations related to contracts and/or contract strategies for furniture procurement (such as, but not limited to: Request for Proposals, Sole Sourcing, Supply Arrangements, Standing Offers, CORCAN, etc.)
*Significant and recent experience is defined as performing duties over approximately three (3) years within the last five (5) years.
Bilingual - Imperative (BBB/BBB)

KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledge of innovative furniture trends related to office accommodations.
- Knowledge of Furniture Procurement theories, processes or strategies.
- Knowledge of the principles of risk management, cost management and time management for office furniture procurement projects.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
- Additional education or certification related to project management and/or interior design.
OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATIONS
- Registered member of a recognized Interior Design Association in Canada.
- Intern member of a recognized Interior Design Association in Canada.

- Experience in working with automated system such as Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD).
- Experience in working with the Procurement Strategy for Aboriginal Business (PSAB) initiative.
- Experience with the incorporation of diversity and inclusivity in furniture selection and procurement.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Willingness to travel and work overtime.
Reliability Status security clearance
Willingness and ability to work in and around construction sites, including wearing protective equipment.
