An economist at FedDev Ontario analyzes one of the largest and most innovative regions of the country. A demographically complex region that spans small rural areas to the largest urban center in Canada, southern Ontario represents a significant share of the Canadian economy.

It is an excellent opportunity to capitalize on skills that include developing research projects, tracking the performance of the economy, and applying various analytic techniques.
The work of the team is a critical input to Agency decisions and policy development, and a valued voice of regional intelligence.

Our employees are proud to work for an Agency that encourages a culture of ownership, where employees feel engaged, empowered and have a personal stake in the impact of their work. This creates an environment that is committed to learning, innovation and collaboration and sets us apart as a workplace of choice. Working at the Agency also offers a unique opportunity for staff to work directly with recipients and stakeholders to see first-hand the impact that their work has on the ground across southern Ontario.
