As the AS-02 Project Assistant in the Reintegration Programs Division (RPD), you will be joining a close-knit, supportive, and fun-loving team in the management and oversight of Correctional Service Canada's (CSC) correctional programs. Your specific duties will include tracking information, analyzing data and producing reports, and assisting other team members in the preparation of training materials such as manuals and PowerPoint presentations. One of your main tasks will be managing the request for certification process for correctional program facilitators’ certification. This includes tracking the requests for certification received from all across Canada, ensuring that information regarding these requests is accurate, creating certificates, and sending these certificates out for distribution to program facilitators.
Reintegration Programs Division (RPD) plays an integral role in CSC's legal mandate to provide programs and services that help offenders reintegrate successfully into the community. RPD develops and manages correctional programs which are delivered to federal offenders across Canada. These correctional programs help offenders identify their risk factors for criminal behaviour, set goals for crime-free living, and learn new skills for managing risky situations. CSC’s correctional programs are internationally recognized for their basis in research and their impact on reducing criminal offending.
