Intent of the process

The intent of this selection process is to staff positions within the Department of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada.

A pool of qualified candidates will be created to staff similar positions within Innovation Science and Economic Development Canada with various tenures (indeterminate, deployment, acting, specified period, assignment, secondment).

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education:
- Graduation with a *degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.

* The term «degree» refers to a baccalaureate or higher level studies.

Degree equivalency

Experience:

For All streams:
- *Significant experience in conducting all phases of internal and/or external audit engagements (i.e. planning, conducting, reporting).
- *Significant experience in preparing and making presentations in an audit context to management (i.e. manager level and above).
- Experience delivering on objectives in a team setting.
- *Significant experience in gathering and analyzing complex information to develop and communicate recommendations.

Stream 1 AS-05:
* Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the performance of the duties for a period of 2 years.

Stream 2 AS-06:
* Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the performance of the duties for a period of 3 years.

Occupational Certification:
- An internal audit designation, such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Government Auditing Professional (CGAP), or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE); or a recognized professional accounting designation (i.e., CPA-CA, CPA-CMA, CGAP, CISA or CPA-CGA).

Asset - Experience:
- Experience in using audit working paper software such as TeamMate.
- Experience in developing or contributing to the development of a Risk-Based Audit Plan.
- Experience performing data analytics and/or continuous auditing including using
ACL or Idea software applications.
- Experience in developing tools, techniques, and processes used to support an internal audit function.
