The student will be processing large amounts of SAR satellite data, including ingestion and pre-processing. These data are then to be used in the classification and modeling of crop type and crop condition.
The student will be processing data and thus the tasks are computer based. Due to Covid the student will work remotely.

EDUCATION
Currently enrolled/or willing to enroll in a Master’s or PhD program in a recognize post-secondary academic institution with specialization in remote sensing, geography, earth sciences, agriculture, geomatics engineering or some other science relevant to the position.
EXPERIENCE
Experience in the analysis of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellite data as applied to agriculture
Experience in the processing of SAR data in SNAP or PCI Geomatica software
*In the context of student recruitment in the Federal Public Service, the experience can be acquired through the studies, work experience, or volunteer activities.
