Western Economic Diversification is looking for a Support Analyst: SQL Server/Programmer - Architect to join our team. If you are motivated and interested in an exciting opportunity for growth in a dynamic department please apply.

As a Support Analyst: SQL Server/Programmer - Architect you will be responsible for providing technical support in systems development and testing services in support of Western Economic Diversification Canada (WD) program delivery. You will be challenged to connect with people, build relationships, and develop creative approaches to addressing unique opportunities.

A pool of qualified candidates (fully assessed or partially assessed) will be established and may be used to staff similar positions at this group and level. This process may be used for various positions and tenures (including but not limited to term and indeterminate appointments, internal assignments, secondments, deployments, acting appointments, casual) as well as various locations, security requirements, language requirements and conditions of employment. Essential Qualifications:
• Successful completion of an acceptable two-year, post-secondary education program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.
NOTE: Indeterminate incumbents of CS positions on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education described above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standards based on their education, training and/or experience.
Experience:
• Significant* experience developing, testing and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server's Analysis Services (SSAS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). *
• Significant* experience Accessing / programming Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle databases. *
• Experience developing, testing and maintaining Microsoft Power Apps / Power Automate.
• Experience developing, delivering and/or supporting IM/IT solutions using defined methodologies and best practices.
• Experience analyzing business/client requirements; providing advice, options and/or recommendations in the definition, development and/or implementation of IM/IT solutions.
* Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the performance of the duties for a period of two (2) years.
Knowledge

• Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Experience with DevOps
• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
• Experience with PowerApps / PowerAutomate
• Experience with Microsoft D365
• Depth, breadth and scope of experience in any one or combination of the experience requirements.
Knowledge:
