While the immediate intent of this Job Opportunity Advertisement is to staff one (1) position, this process may be used to establish a pool of partially and or fully qualified candidates to staff similar positions with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada – Gulf region, with various linguistic profiles, on an indeterminate, specified period, assignment or acting basis. Education
A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives (see Note 1).
Note 1: The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:
o A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
o An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience in any field relevant to the work to be performed.
Experience
Significant and recent experience working in a large multi-disciplinary science-based organization.
Significant and recent experience in coordinating complex projects involving multiple people or work units.
Significant and recent experience in using and managing digital applications.
* Recent experience is defined as within the last two (2) years;
** Significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with full time performance of duties for a cumulative period of one (1) year.
EXPERIENCE
Experience working with data management professionals in the design of applications.
Experience organizing and managing work planning processes in a large multi-disciplinary organization.
Various language requirements
