STEP 2 – SCREENING THE APPLICATIONS

STEP 3- INTERVIEW
Based on your resume, you may be invited to an interview. An interview can include a written assessment and oral interview.
• These positions report to the Regional Manager, Accommodation Management.
• Accommodation Management is responsible for the provision of office accommodation to other government departments.
• The positions are responsible for the following:
- Managing a portfolio of clients office space needs;
- Developing office accommodation strategies, preparing investment management reports, and presenting business cases for project approval;
- Leading multi-disciplinary project teams in the delivery of office space projects;
- Reporting on project scope, schedule and budget;
- Understand the trends in office design and modernization; and
- Providing client service.

EDUCATION

• Successful completion of two years of a post-secondary program or acceptable experience and/or training in a field relevant to position.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:

• Experience providing service to clients
• Experience providing strategic advice and making recommendations to clients or management in areas of real property
EDUCATION:

• Graduation from a recognized university in Business Administration, Economics or some other specialty related to the position
EXPERIENCE:

• Experience using the Government of Canada real property and financial database (SIGMA)
• Experience working in a real property unit, preferably for the Government of Canada

• *Recent experience in one or more of the following fields: Leading real property projects (i.e. relocation, renovation, construction, space optimization), workplace strategy development, leasing or lease management, or portfolio management and planning

*Recent experience is defined as experience acquired within the last 5 years.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:

• *Recent and **significant experience in one or more of the following fields: Planning and leading real property office projects (i.e. relocation, renovation, construction, space optimization), workplace strategy development, leasing or lease management, or portfolio management and planning
• *Recent and **significant experience in managing project budgets including financial tracking and forecasting of funding and/or expenditures
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams, working group or committee
• **Significant experience preparing business cases or investment analysis reports.
*Recent experience is defined as experience acquired within the last 5 years.
**Significant is defined as one consecutive year and refers to the breadth and depth of experience normally acquired through direct responsibility to a wide and variety of complex files or projects in the field of work in question.

There is a 180 day waiting period before you can reapply if eliminated from the inventory. Your application will not be reconsidered until the waiting period has elapsed.
Please note that in addition to all assessment methods, correspondence and communication in relation to this selection process may also be used to assess certain qualifications.
Competencies may not be reassessed.
Microsoft Excel Testing will be administered.
Preference will be given to veterans and to Canadian citizens, in that order, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
