Successful completion of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in the fields of chemical, environmental or mechanical technology, life and physical sciences, or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience related to the duties of the position.
Experience in planning workplace audits of operational activities.
Experience in preparing and updating Standard Operating Procedures for laboratory and field projects.
Experience in supporting an occupational health and safety program in a workplace.
Experience in ISO accreditation.
Experience in working in a laboratory
Experience in collecting air emissions sample
English essential
Information on language requirements
Knowledge of ISO 17025 standard for testing and calibration of laboratories
Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health(OSH) requirements in a laboratory and field environment
Knowledge of Quality management in a testing process
Knowledge of legal sampling for compliance testing
Ability to co-ordinate ISO accreditation of new methodologies
Ability to plan training for OSH requirements
Ability to develop Safe Working Practices and training materials
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
