Our newly renovated buildings at 90 Elgin and 219 Laurier Avenue West in the downtown core meet the government’s new Workplace 2.0 concept and have Wi-Fi throughout. Employees have access to amenities such as showers, change rooms and secure bicycle storage, allowing them to commute using Ottawa’s bike path system.
*In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, employees are currently working from home. Rest assured that the required health and safety measures are already in place, in accordance with public health guidelines, for those needing access to the office.
The initial intent of this process is to offer 2 indeterminate bilingual appointments.
A pool of qualified persons resulting from this process MAY be created and MAY be used to fill similar positions with linguistic profiles (English/French essential, bilingual imperative BBB/BBB, bilingual imperative CBC/CBC) as well as tenures (indeterminate, deployment, acting, assignment, secondment, specified period) which may vary according to the position being staffed.

EDUCATION:
- A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives*.
* The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:
o A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
o An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in using Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Word and one or more of the following: Excel, Power Point, Outlook;
- Experience in providing general administrative services (for example, preparing and proofreading correspondence and other documents, processing mail, answering phones, filing, and coordinating meetings) in a fast-paced environment;
- Experience in information management and record keeping (print and electronic).

The primary intent of the process is to staff positions bilingually. The 2 initial appointments will be bilingual. The pool MAY be used to staff unilingual positions depending on the position being staffed.

EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in providing administrative services to executives (“executive” is defined as director level or equivalent or above);
- Experience in organizing travel arrangements;
- Experience in providing budget support and financial services;
- Experience in working in a legal environment.
ORGANIZATIONAL NEEDS:
- Treasury Board Secretariat employees affected by workforce adjustment may be appointed before persons employed by other government organizations;

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
