The intent of this process is to staff one AS-02 position. A pool of fully or partially qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions at Natural Resources Canada at the AS-02 group and level with various tenures (determinate period or permanent), various linguistic requirements (imperative and/or non-imperative), language requirements (English Essential, French Essential, English or French Essential and Bilingual) and profiles (BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC, CCC/CCC, etc.), various security requirements (Reliability Status, Secret), various conditions of employment and for various locations.

A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EX1 Recent and extensive* experience in providing a range of administrative support services to senior management in a fast paced environment.
*For the purposes of this selection process, recent is defined as having acquired the experience in the past 2 years and extensive is defined as having a minimum of 3 years
EX2 Experience using automated office systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook.
EX 3 Experience in managing the daily schedule of senior managers, including scheduling appointments, meetings and booking travel.
EX 4 Experience in managing the information flow of a senior manager’s office, including composing letters and e-mails and tracking the status of outstanding issues and recommending follow-up actions.
EX 5 Experience in logistics management and follow-up of meetings, conference calls, videoconferences or other activities.
EX 6 Experience in researching analyzing and compiling information for reporting purposes or in response to information requests
Education: Postsecondary diploma or diploma from a recognized college relevant to the position.
A1 Experience in administrative support related to human resources.
A2 Experience in administrative support related to finance.
A3 Experience in information management and records keeping (printed and electronic).
A4 Experience in using Electronic Document Records Management Systems such as Microsoft SharePoint, GCDOCS, GCCMS or others.
