The Public Health Agency of Canada will periodically pull and review the applications received and contact applicants selected for further assessment based on the needs.
Even with climate controls, temperatures in some parts of our warehouses may vary between 15°C / 60°F and 32°C / 90°F. When working in the truck yard or inside of a trailer on the dock during a hot day, the temperature can exceed 32°C / 90°F.
The immediate intent of the inventory is to staff 6-10 Store Person positions as terms (24 months) to work in the National Emergency Strategic Stockpile (NESS) in order to help prepare and respond to the emergence of novel coronavirus (COVID-19). This could include casual or term (specified period) appointments. A pool of qualified candidates may be created and may be used to staff temporary or permanent opportunities within the Public Health Agency of Canada.

Education
• A Secondary School diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience:
• Experience inputting and processing data in warehouse specific electronic databases, such as: SAP or SAGE or other
• Experience with various computer software programs, such as: Word, Excel and Outlook
• Experience working in a warehouse environment
• Experience using carts, dollies, hand trucks, forklifts, order pickers, and/or other equipment to move large quantities of merchandise
Knowledge :
• Knowledge of Health and Safety Standards
• Knowledge of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act
• Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
• Knowledge of material management warehouse methods (Stores; Shipping & Receiving; Warehousing, and shipping methods)

Operational Requirements
• Willing and able to work between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime on short notice.
• Willing and able to travel when required

Secret or reliability clearance - (Depending on position)
Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 60 lbs.
Ability to obtain and maintain Transportation of Dangerous Goods and Forklift certification
