Intent of the process

The immediate intent is to staff three (3) AS-02 positions.

A pool of qualified candidates resulting from this process will be created and may be used to fill similar positions with various language requirements (Bilingual BBB/BBB and Unilingual) using various staffing mechanisms within ESDC across Canada.

EDUCATION:

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCES:
EXP1: Experience in the use of various software programs such as: Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
EXP2: Experience conducting research and compiling data.
EXP3: Experience in a minimum of two (2) administrative support services* below:
1. Managing agendas
2. Scheduling and organizing meetings/teleconferences
3. Managing emails and answers
4. Preparing and collating meeting file folders and background materials
5. Procuring office equipment and supplies
6. Support to budget management and/or commitment control and/or expenditure functions
7. Delivery of human resources services
8. Managing accommodations
9. Other related duties

EXPERIENCES:
A1: Experience planning, organizing and coordinating meetings, events or conferences, hospitality, travel arrangements and travel claims.
A2: Experience maintaining the filing of documents in an Electronic Document
A3: Experience working in Sharepoint and/or GCDocs.
A4: Experience with information management in a department.
A5: Experience coordinating access to information and privacy requests.
A6: Experience coordinating Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and Business Impact Analysis (BIA) for a Branch.
A7: Experience determining work requirements, coordinating and delivering facilities management or accommodations services such as office moves, relocations, fit-up or construction activities.
A8: Experience providing guidance or advice to clients related to facilities management or accommodations.
A9: Experience preparing, editing, and proofreading various documents (letters, notifications, reports, organizational charts, presentations, emails or forms).
A10: Experience providing administrative support in a human resources environment, such as Classification, Learning, Staffing, Labour Relations, Compensation or Planning.

ASSESSMENTS

Candidates must meet all the essential criteria in order to be appointed. However, applicants may be required to meet the asset qualifications or the organizational needs, depending on the requirements of the specific position being staffed.

What is a top-down selection? It is where only the top scoring candidates will be invited to the next stage of the assessment. Please note that different pass marks and cut-off scores can be used at various stages of the assessment process. Candidates who attain the pass mark might not be further considered in the process if they do not achieve the cut-off score.

All information obtained throughout the selection process, from the time of application to close of process, may be used to evaluate the candidates.

At the time of assessment proof of education will be required. If you were educated outside of Canada, you must have your credentials and/or diploma assessed against Canadian education standards.
