The position of Associate Regional Director General (ARDG) is an exciting role within our dynamic regional team and accountable for working in close collaboration with the Regional Director General, whom he/she assists in a participative and collaborative management structure. As the second in command within the Regional Leadership Team (RLT), the ARDG works collaboratively with other members of the RLT in the management of the Region in a complex political environment and is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the continuous improvement of the delivery of regional operational programs.
The ARDG integrates services and align them with the region’s business lines for increased efficiencies; development and implementation of other policy and planning frameworks, standards, procedures and processes and identifies and implements corporate business initiatives. Three regional director positions report directly to the ARDG: Human resources; Small craft harbors; and Real property. S/he directs analysis and resolution for a number of horizontal and inter-organizational initiatives and leads workplace improvement projects, as well as inter-sectoral strategic initiatives and operational projects.

EDUCATION
-Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.
EXPERIENCE
-Experience in managing human and financial resources.
-Experience in providing strategic advice to senior management on policy or program issues.
-Experience in maintaining strategic partnerships with a variety of stakeholders including Indigenous communities or groups.
-Experience in leading the delivery of programs or services.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
-Experience in leading organization-wide change initiatives
