A pool of qualified candidates will be established and will be used to staff similar positions at various tenures (acting, assignment, deployment, indeterminate, secondment, specified period) within Indigenous Services Canada.

Education:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in nursing.
Professional Certification:
Eligibility for registration as a registered nurse in a province or territory of Canada.
Experience:
Recent* and significant** experience in primary care.
** Recent and significant is defined as the candidate must meet the three following conditions: minimum of more or less seven (7) years of experience as a nurse in thepast 10 years, including experience in two (2) clinical areas related to the position such as: primary health care, chronic diseases, mental health, maternal and child health, home care, surveillance, prevention and control of communicable diseases.
Education:
Graduate studies from a recognized university related to the position.
Experience:
Experience working with Indigenous people.
Experience in community health.
Experience in providing advice on professional and legal issues related to the practice of nursing.
Experience in the continuous improvement of the quality of nursing care and services.
Experience in the management of drugs and controlled substances.
Experience in primary care including experience in chronic disease management, mental health, home care, or maternal-child health.
Experience in the organization of care and services.
Experience in the prevention and control of communicable diseases.
Experience in the management of health emergency measures or all risks.
Experience in coordinating community intervention strategies or projects.
Bilingual - Imperative (BBB/BBB)
The Unsupervised tests of reading and writing comprehension for level B or C were developed by the Public Service Commission as a temporary measure to help departments and agencies fill bilingual positions while the situation related to COVID-19 is ongoing.
Candidates who are screened in will be invited by email to complete these unsupervised internet tests, in their second official language. Although candidates will not need to be tested in a federal government office, access to a computer and an Internet connection will be required.
