The initial intention is that this process will be used to fill one opportunity for a Business Planning Officer and one opportunity for an Accommodations Officer. We will create a fully or partially qualified list of candidates which can be used to fill similar vacancies within the department.

EDUCATION
Successful completion of a secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
Notes:
Experience relevant to the position would be defined as at least one (1) year of experience directly related to the essential experience requirements.
Training relevant to the position would be defined as any formal training from a recognized post-secondary institution, or professional organization directly related to the key duties of the position.
EXPERIENCE
For both positions:
Recent* experience providing advice, guidance and recommendations to clients, employees or management.
For Business Planning Officers:
Recent* and significant** experience providing financial management services such as purchasing, budget forecasting, monitoring, analysis, and reporting.
Recent* and significant** experience managing financial information using financial software. (e.g.: SAP, ABACUS, MRS)
*Recent experience is defined as experience normally acquired within the last five (5) years.
** Significant experience would typically be associated with the depth and breadth of experience acquired over a period of 2 or more years performing a range of tasks of appropriate complexity associated with the described qualification.
For Accommodation Officers:
Experience in the planning and delivery of a project with competing priorities.
Experience in dealing with clients or stakeholders on sensitive issues.

Experience in organizing, leading and co-ordinating fit-up activities in leased or Crown-owned property.
Experience in a Real Property setting.
Experience in contracting within the Government of Canada.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Possession of a valid provincial driver’s license
For Accommodation Officers:
Willingness to travel
