Intent of the process

The immediate intent of this poster is to fill one (1), bilingual position (BBB/BBB) on an indeterminate basis.

Applicants should be aware that a pool of qualified candidates (fully assessed or partially assessed) may be established and may be used to staff similar positions at this group and level with various language requirements listed in the Language Requirements section. In addition, this process may be used for various tenures (acting appointments, assignment, deployment, indeterminate, specified period, secondment), security requirements and conditions of employment within Health Canada in the National Capital Region. Education:

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a natural, physical or applied science with specialization in a field relevant to the duties of the position such as: biology, biochemistry, toxicology, or other specialization relevant to the position.

Degree equivalency

Experience:

- Experience coordinating scientific or regulatory evaluations of exposure studies.
- Experience interpreting scientific data, literature or information
- Experience preparing documents which summarize and analyze key scientific or regulatory information

- Knowledge of the theories, principles, procedures, and/or methods in biological science.
- Knowledge of recent scientific research, trends, developments and/or initiatives related to toxicology or exposure.

Education:

- Graduation with a Master’s degree from a recognized university with acceptable specialization in biology, biochemistry, toxicology, or other specialization relevant to the position.

Degree equivalency

Experience:

- Experience coordinating laboratory analysis related to human biomonitoring.
- Experience analyzing or interpreting human biomonitoring data
- Experience preparing documents summarizing human biomonitoring data
- Experience in supporting research activities such as requesting and collecting information, coordinating research projects, reporting on activities, and planning funding allocations.
- Experience in organizing events promoting Knowledge Transfer and Exchange (KTE) such as symposium, webinars, and/or meetings
