Intent of the process

The results of this process will initially be used to staff this position on a Casual basis. A pool of qualified candidates will be established to eventually staff this position with an indeterminate (permanent) appointment or a term (temporary) appointment at the St. Anthony Airport.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION
Graduation from a recognized post-secondary institution for a program of a minimum of two years OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
Experience providing administrative support services in an office environment.
Experience in the provisions of financial services such as budget control, accounts payable and/or accounts receivable.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite software’s Word and Excel.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

ASSET QUALIFICATION
Experience in information management practices including safekeeping, researching and retrieving paper and electronic information/records.
Experience working in the Aviation industry.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Willingness and ability to work overtime on short notice on occasions.

Information on employment equity

In addition to the hourly rate of pay, the positions in St. Anthony NL are subject to an Environmental Allowance and a Fuel and Utilities Differential as per the as per the Isolated Posts and Government Housing Directive (as of August 1, 2020):

ENVIRONMENTAL ALLOWANCE:
- Employee with dependants: $6,184 per year
- Employee without dependants: $3,711 per year

FUEL AND UTILITIES DIFFERENTIAL:
- Employee with dependants: $1,625 per year
- Employee without dependants: $975 per year
