To be considered for Research Affiliate Program (RAP) work opportunities, you must meet the following criteria:
• Persons residing in Canada and Canadian citizens residing abroad.
• Be recognized as having full-time student status by the post-secondary academic institution at which you are currently enrolled (proof will be required).
• Be enrolled in an academic program that requires research as part of your curriculum.
• Be the minimum age to work in the province or territory where the job is located.
The position is intended to lay the foundation for a master's research project on mortality of tree regeneration following a spruce budworm outbreak. More specifically, the student will review the relevant literature, establish research objectives and questions, and implement a field sampling and data processing strategy.
Forest Ecology Research Laboratory of the Canadian Forest Service in Quebec City. The research center includes various forestry expertise that will allow students to deepen their knowledge in the field of forestry with a specialization on forest stand regeneration after disturbance.

The student must be recognized as a full-time student in a recognized university and in a master's degree program in biological sciences with a specialization in forest ecology.

The student must have a basic knowledge of plant ecology or forestry, have the ability to read and understand scientific texts in English. The student must have the ability to work independently, and to present the progress of his/her work in clear terms.
