NOTE: Virtual work arrangements may be available and will be determined on a case by case basis dependent on operational feasibility at the time of hiring. This means working from a Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada office within a regional or national headquarters building. The employee will be expected to perform all functions of the positions remotely from a Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada office but may report to a manager who is working in another location. You must complete the screening questions providing appropriate examples that will illustrate how you meet the qualifications. The competency to communicate effectively in writing will be assessed by your answers provided in the screening questions.
A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar or identical positions within Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) and Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC) with various linguistic profiles (English essential, French or English Essential, BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC) and/or requirement, various locations, as well as tenures (indeterminate, deployment, acting, specified period, assignment, secondment) and/or the security clearance (reliability or secret), which may vary according to the position being staffed.

EDUCATION:
A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives (see Note).
NOTE:
The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are a satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience in maintaining a bring forward system and docket control system.
Experience in providing administrative support services to Management (Director level and above).
Experience in managing correspondence, preparing and reviewing documents.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
( Not essential, but preference may be given to candidates who possess asset qualifications)
Experience in preparing and processing correspondence by using a correspondence software such as WebCIMS.
Various language requirements
