Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) is the engine that powers the Government of Canada. We support the daily operations of roughly 106 federal departments and agencies. This process will be used to staff a specified period position within PSPC Pacific Region. The pool may be used to staff permanent or temporary (such as a specified period appointments, indeterminate or casual) Should the selected candidate already be a public servant, the pool could also be used for assignments, secondments or acting appointments.

Experience in the inspection and control of highway maintenance and/or construction.
Experience in safety practices and procedures for construction.
Experience in working with multiple contractors in maintenance setting.

Conditions of employment
Reliability and Security: Reliability status
Possession of a class 5 valid driver's license.
Required to wear all applicable personal protective gear (i.e. hard hat and safety boots) Required to travel in adverse conditions.
Required to work overtime. Required to work shifts and weekends.
Pre-employment to an isolated post.
Knowledge of Highway Maintenance Procedures.
Ability to provide field inventory control (i.e. materials used on a highway maintenance project
Placement of PSPC employees affected by work force adjustment. Placement of employees subject to current or future reorganization.
