Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to staff one full-time indeterminate position (permanent) in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu and one part-time indeterminate position in Kingston. The process is anticipatory in Bagotville. A pool of qualified candidates may be created and used to staff similar positions at Defence National Department with various tenures and security and linguistic profiles.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION
Graduation with a degree from a recognized school of pharmacy.

Degree equivalency

PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION
Possess a license by the professional association of pharmacists in a province or territory of Canada.

EXPERIENCE
1. Minimum of 12 months work experience as a pharmacist.
2. (PH-02 only) Minimum of three years’ work experience in pharmacy management and personnel management.

Doctorat in pharmacy or a master in clinical pharmacy or a credited Canadian Hospital Pharmacy Residency.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
1. Experience with the Canadian Forces Health Information System (CFHIS).
2. Experience with Assyst RX software.
3. Experience to use electronic medical files to complete health care plan
4. (PH-02 only) Experience as a Military Pharmacist

ORGANIZATIONAL NEEDS
In support of Strong, Secure, Engaged (SSE) initiative #24, consideration may be given to the spouses or common-law partners of Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members.

*A Military Spouse is defined as:
A spouse or common-law partner who is normally residing with a Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) serving member at the member’s place of duty or who, if living separately, is doing so for military reasons; and
The serving CAF member is a member of the Regular Force or the Reserve Force on Class C service or Class B reserve service of more than 180 consecutive days.

In support of achieving a diversified workforce, consideration may be given to candidates self-identifying as belonging to one of the following Employment Equity groups: Aboriginal peoples, Persons with a Disability; Visible Minorities, Women.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Be willing and able to work overtime on short notice.
2. Be willing and able to work shifts or variable hours.

Conditions of employment

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
1. Security clearance: Enhanced reliability
2. Must be member in good standing of the College of Pharmacists of the province of the position to be filled.
3. Hold a valid and recognized license from the province in which the position is to be filled, without sanction, restriction or limitation

**These conditions of employment must be met at the time of appointment and maintained for the duration of employment.
