As a CR-04 Records Clerk, you will have the opportunity to provide information management services to clients of the RCMP’s Northwest Territories Division. You will be responsible for the organization, analysis, classification, indexing, safeguarding and maintenance of information in paper and electronic formats. Your experience providing advice or assistance to clients coupled with your ability to prioritize work will help ensure that information resources of business value are shared and managed in an efficient and effective manner.
The intent of this process is to staff a position on a temporary basis. A qualified pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions on an indeterminate, term or casual basis.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

- Successful completion of two years of secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.
- Experience providing advice or assistance to internal and/or external clients.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
- Experience providing administrative support in a police environment.
- Experience providing guidance and processing Access to Information and Privacy requests.
- Experience providing records management services in a records management role (services may include, but are not limited to, indexing, cross-referencing, filing, retrieving, retaining, archiving, moratoriums, litigation holds or destroying data).
- Experience in coordinating administrative activities including: responding to incoming and/or outgoing correspondence, filing, preparing documents such as letters, briefing notes and/or reports.
