Intent of the process

This process will be used to fill future administrative and clerical openings; temporary and indeterminate.

Positions will be located across Atlantic Canada.

On a case-by-case basis, a telework arrangement could be considered. Please note that IT equipment (laptop, monitor, keyboard and/or mouse etc.) would be provided.

EDUCATION

Common Education to all positions:

-Secondary school diploma (High School Diploma) or an equivalency granted by provincial and/or territorial authorities (e.g. General Education Development [GED], Adult Basic Education [ABE]) or *an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Note: *An acceptable combination will be evaluated by considering the highest level of education achieved, the depth and breadth of training and/or approximately (2) two years of experience accumulated in a clerical or administrative setting

EXPERIENCE

Common Experience to all positions (CR-04/CR-05/AS-01/AS-02):

- Experience providing administrative or clerical support (for example, at least one of the following but not limited to responding to client inquiries, organizing meeting logistics, taking records of decisions, managing a Manager’s calendar/emails, coordinating completion of HR activities or monitoring unit budget items).
- Experience in drafting, reviewing, proofreading and/or formatting correspondence, reports and/or presentations.
- Experience working with and/or extracting data in a software program or system.

Other essential experience unique to the identified group and level:

AS-01 Business & Project Support Administrator / Administrative Assistant / Other

-Experience performing accounts payable or accounts receivable related tasks such as preparing purchase orders or contracts, budget tracking/forecasting, experience issuing and/or paying invoices.

EXPERIENCE

-Experience performing accounts payable or accounts receivable related tasks such as preparing purchase orders or contracts, budget tracking/forecasting, experience issuing and/or paying invoices.
- Experience coordinating meetings and/or workshops such as organizing meeting logistics, agenda creation, taking records of decisions/meeting minutes, tracking action items etc.
- Experience using an electronic document filing system such as IRIMS, EDRM, Live link or GCDocs.
- Experience providing administrative support in a Human Resources environment (Please specify whether is it in HR planning, staffing, labour relations, learning or compensation).
- Experience planning and organizing work related travel arrangements and/or processing travel claims.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

-Willingness and ability to work overtime on short notice
-Willingness and ability to travel occasionally
