Duties

As an ATIP Analyst, you would be responsible for assessing important records prior to disclosure and for safeguarding personal information from disclosure. Your role contributes to an open and transparent Government that is accountable to Canadians.

As an ATIP Analyst, you will:
- play a central role in fulfilling the responsibilities of the organization under the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act;
- analyze records, provide advice and guidance to the various groups in the organization who will be providing relevant records in response to ATIP requests;
- conduct consultations within the department and with other government institutions and third parties, as required;
- provide current information on the laws and obligations prescribed by them and, in general, participate in activities related to compliance with the requirements of the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act.

These departments are: Public Health Agency of Canada, Global Affairs Canada, Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada, Indigenous Services Canada, Canada Revenue Agency, Environment Canada, Department of National Defence, Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada, Canadian Heritage and Treasury Board Secretariat.

Intent of the process

This pool will be managed by Health Canada and used by various federal government organizations to staff their indeterminate and determinate positions. Please note that the majority of the positions will be located in the National Capital Region (Gatineau, Ottawa).

Do you have OR will you have obtained by June 30, 2021, a bachelor degree OR a college diploma in a technical field* of studies from a recognized post-secondary institution, relevant to the duties** of the position such as, but not limited to: Law, Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Science or Information Management?

*Technical field: This term refers to a college program that requires a minimum of 3 years of studies in order to graduate.
