Assessment accommodation

This selection process may be used to staff anticipatory needs for an Audit Manager, IT Audit Manager and/or a Professional Practices Manager. Duties

Managers in Internal audit provide risk-based, independent and objective assurance, advice and insight to OSFI by leading or participating in audit activities designed to ensure effective and efficient processes are applied to all business activities, in accordance with IA’s policy, methodology and professional standards.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
• A university degree with specialization in accounting, business, commerce, economics, or other relevant field OR an acceptable combination of education, experience, and/or training.

Degree equivalency

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
• Recent and significant experience leading team members in planning, conducting and reporting on audits or audit-related activities.
• Recent and significant experience presenting audit-related products to Senior Management.

In addition to the Essential Qualifications identified above, please provide details if you possess one or more of the following Asset Education and Asset Experience criteria identified below.

ASSET EDUCATION
• A post-graduate degree.
• A Chartered Professional Accountant or certification recognized by the CPA Canada and/ or IIA Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation and/or the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) designation.
• Achievement of, or working towards, a relevant professional audit certification/designation or equivalent.

Degree equivalency

ASSET EXPERIENCE
You may be required to meet a combination of any of these asset experience criteria:

Specific to Audit Manager:
• Recent and significant experience in conducting operational, financial, compliance and/or regulatory reviews/audits of governance, risk management and control practices.

Specific to IT Audit Manager:
• Recent and significant experience in conducting compliance, reviews, and/or advisory engagements of Information Management/Information Technology (IM/IT) operations, systems and/or IM/IT governance, risk management and control practices.

Specific to Professional Practices Manager:
• Recent and significant experience administering TeamMate audit software, and implementing audit processes and Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) quality assurance principles within TeamMate.

For all Audit Manager Positions:
• Experience in performing a variety of operational audits.
• Experience in the development of the annual risk-based audit plan.
• Experience in implementing and/or maintaining a Quality Assurance and Improvement Program (QAIP) within an internal audit function.
• Experience in preparing and presenting audit status and related reports for audit management and audit committee deliverables.
