Immediate need: One position to be staffed on an indeterminate basis with an English Essential linguistic profile.
A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates will be established and may be used to staff identical or similar positions within Global Affairs Canada Alberta and Northwest Territories Regional Office. Tenures may vary according to the positions being staffed. The current position to be filled is in Calgary, but future positions may be in either Calgary or Edmonton.

Experience:

Recent* experience in providing general financial, human resources and administrative support services.
Experience in drafting, processing and tracking correspondence.
Experience in working with Microsoft Office, with an accomplished level of proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Recent* experience in planning and managing office finances including; monitoring budgets, financial reporting, expenditure forecasting and preparing analyses to management.
Recent* experience in developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience in producing reports, dashboards, statistics or charts, which includes synthesizing, reviewing and validating data.

Education:
A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in management, administration, human resources or other related field.
Experience:
Experience with the operation of information management, client relationship management, or financial management systems (example: SAP).
Knowledge:
Knowledge of various government regulations, policies or procedures related to office administration in the federal public service, e.g., financial management, procurement, travel and hospitality.
Operational Requirements:
Willing and able to work overtime on occasion, generally with advance notice.
Willing to work in an office in Calgary, Alberta (this is not a remote work positon).
