The work will involve planning and preparing data collections, conducting field surveys and farm visits, modeling, processing and analyzing data, and writing reports and scientific papers.
This work is part of a research program on the analysis of alternative systems of polyculture/mixed-livestock production. In particular, the internship is part of a life cycle analysis project. The intern will be based at the Sherbrooke Research and Development Centre (Quebec). The student will be supervised by a researcher and a research assistant.

The applicant must possess a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with a specialization in agronomy, or in agri-environmental engineering, AND a master’s degree from a recognized institution in a field related to agronomy or agriculture, AND be currently enrolled or eligible to enroll in a Ph.D. program with a specialization in agro ecology at Laval University.
Experience using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel
Experience using data processing or modeling software (for example: SAS, R, ArcGIS, QGIS, OpenLCA, Phyton, MatLab…)
Experience in research project management
Experience in collecting field data
French essential

Possession of a valid driver’s licence or personal mobility to the degree normally associated with a valid driver’s licence;

The candidate must be able to work in contact with farm animals and in agricultural conditions that may cause allergic reactions (hay fever).
