Act as a physical activity specialist for the Quebec region and develop a vision, strategic positioning, resources, training and partnerships. Provide support, training and capacity building for all First Nations and Inuit communities in Quebec.
Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) works with partners to improve access to high quality services for First Nations, nuit and Métis people. The department's vision is to support and empower Indigenous people so that they can independently deliver services and address the diverse socioeconomic conditions in their communities. First Nations and Inuit Health Branch (FNIHB) regional offices are located in every province, with the exception of the Atlantic Provinces, which are represented by the Atlantic Region. The First Nations and Inuit Health Branch - Quebec Region (FNIHB-QC) supports the delivery of health and health promotion services in First Nations and Inuit communities.
In the immediate future, the staffing process is designed to fill a full-time position in Montreal. A pool of qualified people will also be established for future needs within Indigenous Services Canada or within other departments.

Education:
-Bachelor in Kinesiology
Experiences:
-Recent* and significant * experience in the design and implementation of physical activity services.
-Recent* and significant * experience in the development and delivery of training in healthy lifestyles.
-Recent* and significant * experience in clinical intervention with various clientèles (young people at risk, the elderly, etc.).
* Recent and significant experience refers to the extent and scope of experience associated with the performance of these functions, ie one year of experience in the past three years.
Assets experiences:
-Experience working with First Nations and Inuit.
-Recent* and significant * experience in formulating recommendations to management.
-Experience in reviewing or monitoring financial reports and project or program activity reports.
-Work experience in community development.
* Recent and significant experience refers to the extent and scope of experience associated with the performance of these functions, ie one year of experience in the past three years.
Assets knowledge:
-Knowledge of First Nations and Inuit communities and the main issues related to their health.
-Knowledge of contribution program management.
