The intent of this appointment process is to establish a partially or fully assessed pool of qualified candidates. The results of this process may be used to staff similar or identical positions of various tenures and/or various linguistic requirements at Public Services and Procurement Canada and other government departments.

A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution
Note: Incumbents of IS positions who do not possess the formal education prescribed are deemed to meet the university graduation standard based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever a bachelor’s degree without any specialization is called for in a position classified as IS.
Significant** experience in providing communications advice and services to clients and senior management*.
Experience in developing and implementing communication strategies.
Significant** experience in drafting and publishing communications products, such as news releases, media lines, questions and answers, speeches, etc.
Experience in planning and executing internal and external communications activities or events, such as Ministerial visits, news conferences, roundtables, town halls, information sessions etc.
Experience in coordinating interviews with the media and providing information to journalists.
*Senior management is defined as Regional Managers and above.
**Significant means having performed a broad range of related activities, which could normally be acquired by performing the duties regularly (on a daily or weekly basis) over a period of approximately 1 year.
Experience working on multidisciplinary project teams.
Experience in supporting stakeholder engagement activities.
Experience in building and maintaining a network of contacts in the media and the public.
Organizational Needs:
