We are looking for candidates who have the following education requirements:

- Successfully completed two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

OR

- An acceptable combination of education, training and experience

We are looking to fill positions within our IT Infrastructure Client Support Group. Take a look below to see if you are interested in these exciting areas of IT work!

Infrastructure/Platforms
The candidate will be responsible for supporting the enterprise informatics environment at Statistics Canada consisting of, but not limited too: Windows based computing devices, Virtual Desktop Images (VDI), and Cloud technology, all lying within multiple different networks including: troubleshooting all client operating System installations and issues, as well as troubleshooting hardware configuration problems and malfunctions.

Software
The candidate would be responsible for the support and installation of in-house, and consumer-off-the-shelf (C.O.T.S.) software including: troubleshooting client software issues, client software installation malfunctions, as well as all software installations

Service Management Processes
The candidate will be responsible for following Informatics processes and guidelines as set-out by Statistics Canada to manage and resolve IT requests for assistance, including the utilization of the Statistics Canada ticketing system (HEAT) for tracking, managing, and resolution of client service requests for informatics assistance, the proper escalation and the assigning of IT service requests as needed, as well as a variety of other processes put in place by Statistics Canada IT Management.

Access Management
The candidate will be responsible for granting users access to the Statistics Canada networks by creating, managing, and troubleshooting user accounts across various platforms including: Active Directory, Email, and Cloud, as well as create, manage, and troubleshoot client access to Statistics Canadas data.
