Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to staff one (1) indeterminate vacancy. A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions (including lower level positions) on an indeterminate or term basis, including casual employment and with various security requirements.

Experience working in a warehouse, shipping environment or distribution centre.

Experience in repair or disposal.

Experience operating a forklift.

Experience operating a stock picker.

Experience using SAP based applications, e.g. DRMIS.

Experience completing and maintaining supply records.

Experience working in a DND Tool Crib.

Experience working in a DND Clothing Stores section

Experience working in a DND Signals Squadron or section.

Experience using the Defence Supply Chain (DSC) (formerly called the Canadian Forces Supply System (CFSS)).

Experience working with DND Local Purchase Orders (LPOs).

Experience maintaining a DND Supply Customer Account (SCA).

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance

Possess and maintain of a valid and unrestricted motor vehicle driver’s license issued by the Province of Ontario.
*You may be required to provide an up-to-date and acceptable driver’s abstract if you are considered for appointment.
Must obtain and maintain a valid DND 404 Driver’s License throughout the entire period of employment.
Will be required to wear safety footwear at all times and occasionally other protective clothing such as a hard hat, gloves, smocks, dust masks, goggles, etc.
Will be required to perform a variety of physical tasks, including but not limited to, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, grasping, reaching, stooping, crouching, and sitting.
Will be required to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Able to safely lift heavy items up to 20 kilograms.
