Work environment

Intent of the process

This process will be used to staff one (1) indeterminate position in Trenton, Ontario with a language requirement of English Essential.

A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff identical or similar positions with various security levels, tenures, locations, language requirements and linguistic profiles.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

Education
- Successful completion of college, vocational education, apprenticeship training.

Degree equivalency

Experience
- Experience of preparation of procurement documents, procurement, inventory, financial data entry, and compliance with terms and conditions, delivery of goods and services.

OR

- Supply chain activities including requirements planning, data entry and management of asset information, distribution, replenishment and disposal.

Knowledge
- Knowledge of federal government procurement and supply policies.
- Knowledge of the overall roles, functions of the Canadian Armed Forces and the Department of National Defence.
- Knowledge of inter-relationships with other government departments and central government agencies relating to procurement, supply and contracting.

In support of Strong, Secure, Engaged (SSE) initiative #24, consideration may be given to the spouses or common-law partners of CAF members.

Conditions of employment

Secret security clearance - This process will be used to staff the abovementioned position with a secret security level. It may also be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates which could be used to staff identical and /or similar positions with various security levels (Secret, Top Secret, Special Access).

- Due to operational requirements, a compressed work week will not be granted.
