Intent of the process

A pool of qualified or pre-qualified candidates may be established to staff similar positions with various tenures, various linguistic profiles and various security requirements within the Courts Administration Service.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Successful completion two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

Degree equivalency

Significant** experience in providing IM/IT advice and guidance to management (Managers or Directors) or colleagues or clients as a subject matter expert.
Significant** and Recent* experience Performing SA&A (Security Assessment and Accreditation) of services, solutions, projects and contracts.
Significant** and Recent* experience implementing IT security on complex and distributed systems such as; Custom .NET Apps, Integrated Systems, MS Exchange, MS SQL, Datacenter, O365, Azure Cloud, etc.
Significant** and Recent* experience in writing IT Security policies, procedures, directions and guidelines.

Recent* is defined as being performed/acquired within the last year.
Significant** is defined as being performed for a period of at least 2 years.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Successful completion of one or more occupational certifications in the field of Information Security, including:

- Completion of CSE IT Security courses or in possession of CSE IT Security certifications;
- SANS / GIAC certifications;
- Certified Information Security Systems Professional (CISSP);
- Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM);
- Certified Information Systems Auditor Designation (CISA);
- Information Technology infrastructure Library (ITIL);
- Any other professional certification held with good standing that is relevant to this position.

Degree equivalency

Experience acting as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) role in the Federal Government of Canada
Experience working with Government of Canada classified systems
Experience coordinating or managing IT projects
Experience with guiding the implementation of the results from a Threat and Risk Assessments (TRA) and Security Assessment and Authorization (SAA)
Experience in writing IT Security policies, directions and guidelines.
Experience in conducting security awareness training for employees.
