The intent of this process is to staff one (1) permanent position in Coronation, AB. A qualified pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions on a term and/or permanent basis in Eastern Alberta District within the RCMP. The pool could be used to offer acting appointments, assignments, secondments or deployments.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

Successful completion of two years of secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience*
*Proof of education will be required prior to appointment
Experience providing services to internal and/or external clients over the phone, in person and/or in writing.
Experience providing administrative support services including responding to incoming and/or outgoing correspondence, data entry and filing.
Recent experience** working with Microsoft Word and Excel.
**Recent experience signifies within the last two years.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
Experience maintaining a law enforcement database such as CPIC, PIRS and/or PROS.
Experience liaising with court representatives or officials, or preparing court disclosure packages.
Experience transcribing statements from audio files/recordings.

Reliability Status security clearance - NOTE: Successful candidates will require a valid RCMP security clearance prior to appointment and throughout the tenure of their employment. The process to obtain RCMP security clearance involves a security/reliability interview and a field investigation regarding matters of criminal activity which includes reference checks, verification of credit/financial status, education, employment, etc. As such, the process may take several weeks or months to complete.
