Work environment

Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) is one of the largest departments in the Government of Canada, with over 28,000 people from coast to coast providing services to Canadians. You could work in a forward thinking, transformative service delivery Department that includes Service Canada, and the Labour Program, which continuously strives on innovation and supporting Canadians through #LifesBigMoments. See for yourself on how we have an impact on Canadians: https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/programs/results/stories.html

Joining our ESDC Medical Adjudication team has many advantages.
• We are a positive, dynamic bunch who work hard but also likes to bring humour and fun to the workplace. We have fresh ideas and are at the forefront of new, exciting and innovative projects as we aim to be the best in the government.
• Working in a large and busy department offers lots of exposure to different and unique contexts and a wide range of clients while supporting senior management at all levels.
• We believe that virtual teams are the way of the future and we have the technology in place to fully support our national client groups across our footprint.
• As much as we love what we do, we realize and appreciate that you have a life outside of work, we value our employees’ wellbeing.
• We take diversity seriously. We have an active and concrete role in supporting the Department in its diversity goals, therefore diversity is an important consideration in our own workforce decisions. ESDC was named one of the National Capital Region’s Top Employers by the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers and winner of Canada’s Best Diversity Employers Award.
