We are seeking experts to assist in diverse sectors within the Procurement Branches:
SERVICE AND TECHNOLOGY AQUISITION MANAGEMENT SECTOR (STAMS)
Services and Technology Acquisition Management Sector is the center of excellence for service procurements. It manages the procurement of services and some specific goods, including contract administration and life cycle management, on behalf of a wide range of federal governments department and agencies. These goods and services include: complex electronic infrastructure and systems procurement projects; software and shared systems procurement projects; specialized professional services including professional consulting, auditing, translation and interpretation services, and informatics professional services; space commodities (satellites, ground stations, rovers and others), complex studies and scientific research and development including Reseach and Development (R&D) procurement services for the Build in Canada Innovation Program (BCIP) and Defence Research and Development Canada's (DRDC) Canadian Safety and Security Program (CSSP) and Defence Innovation Research Program (DIRP).
STAMS also offers procurement tools aimed at simplifying and accelerating the procurement process for the acquisition of professional services and Temporary Help Services.
COMMERCIAL AND ALTERNATIVE AQUISITIONS MANAGEMENT SECTOR (CAAMS)
The Commercial and Alternative Acquisitions Management Sector provides national leadership in the development and implementation of strategies and initiatives to meet the acquisition requirements and expectations of client departments, agencies and boards. The goods and services managed and acquired are diverse, complex and sophisticated and include: the management of real property contracts for the design and construction of buildings, engineering and construction services; long term contracts for outsourced services such as pilot training, troop support overseas, facilities management; government accommodation and car rental directory, transportation management system; advertising and public option research; a portfolio of logistics, fuel, electrical and transportation products and services; commercial and consumer products and services such as furniture, clothing, food and pharmaceutical products. CAAMS is responsible for the Federal/Provincial/Territorial bulk purchases of drugs and vaccines. It is also the center of excellence in the Public-Private Partnership Procurements.
DEFENCE AND MAJOR PROJECT SECTOR (DMPS)
The Defence and Major Project Sector is responsible for establishing and managing contracts to acquire a wide range of technically complex systems for the land, naval and aerospace environments. This includes the acquisition of military and civilian aircraft; electronic, communication and tactical systems; security and information operation systems; armoured vehicles; and weapons, armament systems and ammunition. Also acquired are all associated services and materiel required to support this equipment.

The intent of the process is to staff numerous PG-04 positions in the National Capital Region and the Saint-Hubert, Québec Region, but other regions across Canada may also consider candidates from his process for their staffing needs.
For initial hires, the positions to staff are physically located in the NCR and Quebec –Saint-Hubert, but management may be willing to consider telework agreements.
Relocation arrangements may also be considered if necessary.

EDUCATION

• Recent and significant* experience in at least five (5) of the following procurement activities:
· Developing procurement strategies or plans;
· Preparing procurement documents;
· Leading and/or participating in Bid evaluations;
· Negotiating with suppliers;
· Managing contracts, standing offers or supply arrangements;
· Preparing or reviewing Statement of Work (SOW);
· Issuing or awarding contracts, standings offers and/or supply arrangements;
· Researching and analysing information to provide procurement advice and guidance to management, peers and clients and preparing communication materials in support of a procurement activity

* Recent and significant experience is defined as having performed these functions in a procurement related position or working in a multidisciplinary project team for approximately three (3) years within the last five (5) years.

ASSET - EXPERIENCE 2
• Recent and significant* experience in the delivery of complex** procurement activities in one or more of the following:
· Supply chain management;
· Procurement assessment and planning;
· Contract Management;
· Legal procurement agreements.

** Complex is defined as having one or more of the following characteristics:
1. Involving multiple stakeholders;

4. Procurement and customizing contract clauses.
