Intent of the process

This process is designed to fill one position in Shediac, New-Brunswick on a term basis.

A pool of partially qualified candidates will be established and used to staff identical or similar positions with various tenures (indeterminate, term, deployment or other) within PSPC at various locations (Gatineau, Shediac, Miramichi or other).

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION

Graduation with a Master’s degree in Counselling, Social Work, or Psychology from a recognized university.

Degree equivalency

OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION

A member in good standing (or eligible to be a member) with a professional association or college.

EXPERIENCE

EXP1. Recent* and significant** experience in providing crisis intervention, assessment, short-term counselling, referral and follow-up with individuals with a mental health problem, personal or work-related issues.
EXP2. Experience in providing mental health subject matter expertise, advice and guidance to key stakeholders on well-being and organizational development issues.
EXP3. Experience in liaising with other internal services and community based health care professionals on client issues.
EXP4. Experience coordinating and facilitating well-being learning activities such as workshops, mental health promotion events, town halls, information sessions and/or team building.

*Recent is defined as experience acquired within the past three to five years.
**Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of three to five years’ experience associated with the performance of a broad range of complex duties.

AQ1. Experience as an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Counsellor.
AQ2. Experience in instructional design.
AQ3. Experience in event planning and communication.
AQ4. Experience using social media, applications and/or a variety of software.
