Anticipatory: A pool of qualified candidates will be created and used to staff future permanent or temporary vacancies.

Graduation with a diploma or degree from a recognized post-secondary institution or acceptable combination of a secondary school diploma and/or training and relevant experience.

*Recent Experience in comprehending and applying legislation or policies
*Recent Experience in providing advice or recommendations to clients or management

*Recent experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience obtained within the past three (3) years for at least one (1) year.

EXPERIENCE
TI-06:
*Recent and significant experience in developing and maintaining partnerships with internal or external agencies or clients
*Recent and significant experience in comprehending and applying legislation or policies
*Recent and significant experience in providing advice or recommendations to clients or management

*Recent and significant experience are defined as the depth and breadth of experience obtained within the past four (4) years for at least two (2) years.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

ASSET CRITERIA:
- Experience in conducting enforcement activities
- Experience in emergency management
- *Significant experience in conducting regulatory or policy based inspections or regulatory investigations or regulatory or policy based audits
*Significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience obtained within the past four (4) years for at least two (2) years.
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision
- Experience in the aviation industry
- Experience in aviation security
- Experience in the rail and/or bridges and tunnels industry

Ability and willingness to travel, both domestically and internationally by various modes of transport.
Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or irregular hours on short notice.
Ability and willingness to work on standby duties on a 24/7 basis as required.

Conditions of employment

Secret security clearance

Required to possess and maintain a valid provincial/territorial completed graduated driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle.

Required to pass a pre-employment Category III medical for Transportation Security Inspectors and pass a periodic Category II medical every 5 years.

Required to perform stand-by duties on a 24/7 basis.

Required to travel on short notice for extended periods domestically and internationally using all modes of transportation.

Required to work overtime and/or irregular hours as assigned including on short notice.
