Duties

As an Human Resources Business Partner, you will be responsible for Labour Relations, Staffing & Human Resources Planning.

You will:
• Provide advice and guidance to clients while fostering partnerships by understanding their business.
• Work in collaboration with other Human Resources disciplines to develop integrated Human Resources solutions that are relevant, responsive, and timely.
• Develop informed people management priorities to meet organizational needs.

The immediate intent of this process is to staff one indeterminate position with a language requirement of English essential or bilingual imperative, BBB/BBB.

A pool of qualified and/or partially assessed candidates may be established to staff similar position with various tenures, security profiles and language requirements within Transport Canada (TC).

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in human resources management, labour or industrial relations, psychology, public or business administration, organizational development, education sciences, social sciences, sociology, or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed.

Degree equivalency

Significant experience in providing strategic advice to managers on complex staffing and/or labour relations issues.

Significant experience in interpreting and applying legislation and policies related to the staffing and/or labour relations disciplines.

Significant experience in reviewing, researching and analyzing information.

Note: Significant means the amount, complexity and diversity of experience that would normally be acquired where the experience was part of the regular work duties over a period of two years.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Significant experience in providing strategic advice to managers on complex staffing and/or labour relations issues in the public service.
