• You will be called to anticipate in a timely manner and validate impacts on the financial management of your service / unit, by participating in the preparation of the organization operational plan, by developing accountability and cyclical reviews while recommending solutions in response to identified financial challenges.

FI-01:
- Two-year success in a post-secondary program with specialization in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce or economics;
FI-02:
- A degree from a recognized post-secondary institutions with specialization in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce or economics AND experience related to positions in the Financial Management Group;
OR
-Hold a recognized professional accounting designation. The recognized professional accounting designations are Chartered Professional Accountant (ACA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified General Accountant (CGA).
Experience:
FI-01 et FI-02:
1. Relevant experience* in the analysis and compilation of financial information;
2. Relevant experience* in the provision of financial or accounting services;
*Relevant experience is defined as providing advice and recommendations to managers on complex issues.
FI-02:
3. Relevant experience* working at a management level** such as in in business planning, strategy development, options analysis, administration and oversight of organizational/corporate issues related to finances resources and investment plan.
*Relevant experience is defined as providing advice and recommendations to managers on complex issues.
**Management level is defined as an individual within an organization whose role and responsibility include the oversight and direction of the organization’s operations/personnel with a high degree of autonomy. This may include experience as a supervisor or as an individual that provides relevant organizational support for a senior manager/executive.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
FI-01:
- A degree from a recognized post-secondary institutions with specialization in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce or economics AND experience related to positions in the Financial Management Group;
OR
-Hold a recognized professional accounting designation. The recognized professional accounting designations are Chartered Professional Accountant (ACA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified General Accountant (CGA).
FI-02:
A post-graduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institutions with specialization in accounting, finance, business, administration, commerce or economics
Experience:
1. Experience in articles 32, 33 and 34 of the Financial Administration Act (FAA).
2. Experience in using Claim-X, HRG or any other travel management system;
3. Experience in salary management, compensation in the federal government;
4. Experience in the preparation and / or presentation of training sessions;
5. Experience in the use of accounting software such as SAP module FI, module CO, BOBJ.
A person may be appointed to a position even if he or she does not meet some or all of the asset qualifications, operational requirements or organizational needs. It remains desirable, however, that this be met, as these criteria could be decisive factors in the choice of who will be appointed at this time and in the future.
Various language requirements
The language profile of the positions currently being staffed is French essential. However, this advertised process may be used to staff similar positions with various language profiles, such as Bilingual imperative BBB/BBB positions.
