Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) is the national leader in defence and security science and technology.
As an agency of Canada’s Department of National Defence (DND), DRDC provides DND, the Canadian Armed Forces and other government departments as well as the public safety and national security communities, the knowledge and technological advantage needed to defend and protect Canada’s interests at home and abroad.

EDUCATION:
Successful completion of secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in researching information from a variety of sources;
- Experience in analyzing and validating information for inclusion in reports, investigations, or other products;
- Experience in making formal and informal presentations;
- Experience in making recommendations to management.

KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of the Policy on Government Security;
- Knowledge of security requirements for contracting with the Government of Canada;
- Knowledge of the Government of Canada Standard on Security Screening;
- Knowledge of the roles, organization and mission of the CAF and DND.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

Preference could be given to candidates with experience in spreadsheets and database creation.

Preference could be given to candidates with business management related experience.

Conditions of employment

Reliability and Security: Must be able to obtain a Reliability Status prior to appointment and later obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DND 404 driver’s licence.

Must be willing to work occasional overtime on short notice.

Must be willing to be on standby status.

Must be willing to travel (occasional travel typically for training).

Must be willing and able to work under varying conditions outside an office type environment.
