A pool of candidates will be created and may be used to staff present and future positions (CR-04, CR-05, AS-01, AS-02) on a permanent or temporary basis within the DFO Gulf Region.

EDUCATION
Successful completion of two years post-secondary education or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE
Experience providing administrative support services in at least three (3) of the following:
a) managing or maintaining electronic or hard-copy files;
b) organizing travel, training or events;
c) coordinating the schedule of a manager;
d) preparing or editing correspondence, documents or reports;
e) taking meeting minutes;
f) requisitioning supplies or controlling inventory;
g) creating contracts, entering purchase orders and purchasing goods and services;
h) fielding telephone or in person inquiries.
Experience providing client service or customer support (general public or internal or external services).
Experience in using Microsoft Programs including Word and Excel.
(AS-02 only) Significant* experience in providing a range of administrative support services to a manager’s office.
* Significant is defined as depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the performance of those duties for a period of approximately two (2) years.
ASSET EDUCATION
Successful completion of a post-secondary education in Office Administration.
ASSET
Experience in administrative support related to Human Resources.
Experience in compiling information to support manager’s workload.
Experience with general security services and screening.
Experience using spreadsheet software, such as Microsoft Excel, at an Intermediate or Advanced level.
Experience preparing budgets and financial spreadsheets.
Experience analyzing information, reports, and recommending solutions.
Experience in conducting research and analysis.
Experience using virtual meeting technologies such as teleconferencing, video conferencing, or webinar.
Experience coordinating events such as conferences, meetings, travel arrangements and/or training.
(AS-02) Significant * experience in managing the agenda and coordinating the daily operations and activities of a senior manager’s office.
