This process will be used to staff a six-month opportunity (with potential for extensions) within the Aquatic Ecosystems Branch, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Maritimes Region. A fully or partially qualified pool may be created to staff, similar and temporary, vacancies at this level within the Aquatic Ecosystems Branch.
**Important: Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, employees of Aquatic Ecosystems are currently working remotely. The department is actively working on a flexible, phased approach for the safe return of employees to their usual workspaces. Therefore, this opportunity will likely be a remote working opportunity until it is deemed safe for our branch to return to the workplace.

EDUCATION:
Graduation from a recognized post-secondary institution with a specialization in Oceans Technology.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience doing field work related to a marine environment (e.g., sampling systems and methods; operation of remote vehicles; marine spatial data collection ).
Experience collecting or managing data related to a marine environment (e.g. oceans, fish or fish habitat).
English essential
