Duties

• Obtains, inputs, maintains and extracts data, reports and documentation related to applications, claims, files, and other administrative forms.
• Verifies and validates data and documentation for authenticity, accuracy, completeness and compliance with legislation, to support the determination of eligibility and entitlement.
• Searches, reviews and compares information from applications, system-generated reports and other sources, identifies gaps and discrepancies, and contacts clients to obtain missing information and clarifications.
• Communicates with clients and their representatives, external organizations (e.g., accounting firms, Canada Revenue Agency, provincial authorities) and third parties in writing and verbally to obtain and provide client-specific information, to explain provisions of program-specific legislation.
• Refers specific cases to the appropriate level for decision as per prescribed procedures and guidelines.
• Performs other administrative functions in support of program delivery, such as preparing documentation, organizing meetings, and scheduling client information sessions.

Candidates will be required to submit their proof of education documents at the time of assessment. If the name on your education credentials is different from the name on your application, we will require proof that you are the same person, e.g. a copy of a marriage certificate.

To be considered for a Bilingual Imperative CBC/CBC position, you must already have Second Language Evaluation results at the CBC/CBC level (proof will be required) OR you must be willing to undergo a Second Language Evaluation.

Candidates must meet all of the essential qualifications to be appointed to a position. A candidate may be appointed to the position even though he/she does not meet any or all of the asset qualifications, organizational requirements, or operational needs. However, meeting these criteria is desirable and may be used as a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed.

A random and/or top down selection of candidates may be used in the determination of those to be given further consideration in the assessment process.

Preference

Preference will be given to veterans and to Canadian citizens, in that order, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
