The Department of National Defence (DND) is one of the largest federal government employers. DND's role is to provide services and support to the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) in their operations and missions at home and abroad. As a civilian employee, you will be an essential part of the Defence Team.
The intent of this process is to fill 1 indeterminate position in Edmonton, AB. A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions, with varying tenures in various locations.

EDUCATION
Diploma or certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field that is relevant to the duties of the position such as an engineering technologist, architecture technologist, or safety management; OR an acceptable combination of education, training and experience related to Safety and Compliance.
EXPERIENCE
Experience in managing or conducting inspections and system audits or program. evaluations in real property and infrastructure operational environment.
Experience in interpreting and applying procedures or regulations in a regulatory environment.
Experience in planning the development and review of procedures, instructions, and standards.
Experience preparing reports, presentations, or briefing notes for management.
Experience with Stakeholder engagement or collaborating with Other Government Departments.
Experience using MS office software including MS Excel and MS word.
Experience in safety management or compliance management or preventative maintenance management.

EDUCATION
Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in engineering, architecture, property management, or safety management.
OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION
Accreditations such as Building Owners and Management Institute, Institute of Asset Management, or Project Management Institute.
Certification or designation with a Canadian Safety Organization such as CRSP, CHSC or others.
EXPERIENCE
Experience in the use of asset management software (such as VFA or other).
Experience in the use of SAP systems such as Defense Resources Management Information System (DRMIS) (Plant Maintenance Module).
Experience in asset management.
Experience with regulatory requirement from Federal and Provincial agencies such as but not limited to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) or Canada Occupational Health and Safety Regulation(COHSR).
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Be able to obtain a DND driver’s license (DND404)
Reliability Status security clearance
Must possess and maintain a valid provincial or territorial non-graduated and unrestricted Class 5 driver's licence.
