As a Supervisor (2-4 employees), you will coordinate the delivery of financial management, human resources and general administrative services for a Division.
You will also play a leading role in financial forecasting, monitoring, reviewing and reporting of operational expenditures, including: reconciling and maintaining operating and salary budgets for a Division, as well as, performing initial analysis and challenge function of program submissions.
The intent of this selection process is to fill one temporary AS-02 Administrative Team Leader position, for an initial period of one year, in the Regional Director, Science Office in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
As additional positions become available, in the Science Branch, appointments from selection process 20-DFO-MAR-IA-EOS-286082 will be made first. Should no qualified candidates be identified, results from this selection process will be used. Therefore, a pool of qualified or partially qualified candidates will be established and may be used to staff future AS-02 opportunities on a temporary and/or permanent basis, within Science, in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

• Experience in developing and implementing workflows and procedures for others to use and/or refer to
• Experience in managing financial forecasts and analyzing financial activities for multiple Responsibility Centers (Managers)
• Experience in providing interpretation and advice to management and staff
• Experience in the use of financial information systems, such as, but not limited to, Abacus, MRS (Management Reporting System), and SMIS (Salary Management Information System)
• Post-secondary education related to the field of financial and/or administration
• Experience in applying MS Excel advanced features, including pivot table, to analyse, summarize, extract, manipulate, consolidate, sort and query large amount of raw data to produce financial reports
